Master/slave tree

This is an example of a model alignment for a very simple tank in 3DO Builder:

 

        

     

The part that is listed beneath another part, such as barrel under turret is a slave. The barrel can move independent, but as soon as the turret moves, the barrel moves along. The base is the ground plate - what the entire unit is based on and is seen as a green square around the unit in the game. This is the ultimate master, when the unit turns, in the reality, only the base turns, but all other slaves can do nothing but move along with the base. Let us view a more complex tech tree, that is often used for humanoid models:

 

 

 

As seen in this example, a body part can have several slaves while the slaves themselves can very well have slaves of their own.
